In most communities, the most significant activity is the building of personal residences. This is also alluded to in Biblical passages such as: Isaiah 65:21a ; John 14:2. In the HC, this fact will also be seen as the building of houses alone represents of the total projected investment by HC citizens. (See in Costs List). Currently the plans of the HC has allotted m2 ( ft2) of land per house on average. Here is a scaled drawing of the average HC house lot dimension.
The largest plan for an HC house is designed for up to 10 family members, with 2-4 guests. It would have a square area of m2 ( ft2) on two floors for a potential total floor area of m2 ( ft2). In addition to this the roof area is capable of being a rooftop deck. The house has a total of rooms and bathrooms. Not all houses will be of that size as their size will depend on the actual size of a household (cf. Num 26:52-56), but this sample house was used for the HC housing planning to represent the maximum potential expenditures that can be made for housing. Architectural and Design services will be available to everyone so most houses will actually be custom made.
