The Urban Advantage
The fact that the NJK's Holy Cities are all of the urban type without rural areas may seem like a disadvantage, but apart from the absence of country scenery (which most people today rarely get to enjoy anyway), the urbanization of the NJK actually is in accordance with the key to the sustainability of an ever growing population. As the "Global Report on Human Settlements" released in March 1996 by the United Nations Centre for Human Settlements (Habitat) has stated: .

"Massive urbanization is the only way the world can survive the massive population increase. Urban areas offer a higher life expectancy and lower absolute poverty, and can provide essential services more cheaply and on a larger scale than rural areas." [web source]

U.S. Example
An excellent example of the potential of urban living is seen in the demographics of the United states of America. In 2004, 79% of the U.S. population (i.e., 231,410,550 people) lived on only 2.8% of the U.S. land area (some 252,876 km2 (97,636 mi2) from its total land area of 9,158,918 km2 (3,536,278 mi2).
